Front Desk Security Counselor

FRONT DESK SECURITY COUNSELORS - Staten Island 

Beacon of Hope (BOH), a Division of Catholic Charities Community Services (CCCS), is seeking a Front Desk Security Counselor on 12 AM – 8 AM shift to work in a 24-hour congregate setting in Staten Island. Front Desk Security Counselors provide support services to clients living with serious mental illness and in various stages of recovery. Front Desk Security Counselor’s duties include reception, security, crisis intervention and documenting events occurring in the building. The FDSC performs work in accordance with Office of Mental Health regulations for Licensed Housing as well as CCCS and BOH Policies and Procedures.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position based on a 40-hour work week.  Hourly pay is $20.50 to $24.00 ($42,640 - $49,920 annually. Pro-rated on time actually worked during the year), plus a merit-based bonus. Salary is commensurate with educational attainment. 

Job Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent, bachelor's preferred
• Two years of Case Management experience, preferably with SMI population
