Summary:

St. Philip Neri is a newly established Catholic Charities Case Management site serving students and families of the school, parish, and the neighboring community. The program will focus on improving positive outcomes for children and families by identifying goals and developing mutually agreeable service plans. The Case Assistant will work closely with school personnel, the parish priest, community-based organizations, and Catholic Charities leadership to ensure that needed services are provided in the community. The Case Assistant must be welcoming and engaging to clients seeking help from Catholic Charities.

Responsibilities:

Front Desk Greeting, Gathering Information, and Client Support:

  • Greets parents, students, and community members coming to the site and creates a welcoming environment of warmth and acceptance.
  • Answers incoming calls to the site, assesses/screens need, provides information and schedules appointments.
  • Communicates with Catholic Charities staff, school and parish staff and community stakeholders to develop and foster collaboration and coordination of care.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor, program, and departmental needs.

Office Management:

  • Attends to the availability of supplies, places orders, and maintains stock.
  • Tracks and coordinates the expenditure of supplies and clients financial assistance funds.
  • Organizes all activities relevant to the site including but not limited to childrens activities, food distribution events, and seasonal projects.
  • Enters callers, walk-ins and cases into a data management system.
  • Participates and supports outreach activities to the community by distributing flyers, and accompanying staff to various events as needed.
  • Attends and participates in weekly supervision, monthly Department meetings, team meetings, community meetings, trainings, and other agency-related activities.

Salary Range- $23.08 - $ 24.73 per hour . This is a non-exempt hourly position based on a 35 hours work week which is $42,000 - $45,000 annually.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required and some experience in the social services field.
  • Bilingual, English/ Spanish or English/French required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management and communication skills.
  • WIFI access and an ability to successfully navigate remote technology, if needed.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Data Management systems built on a Salesforce Platform.
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, some weekend or evening hours may be required to participate in school and parish events and meet the needs of working parents.

Working conditions and physical demands required:

The demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Remain in a stationary position at a workstation and use a computer approximately 70% of the time.
  • Travel for staff meetings 10% of the time using reliable transportation, traversing streets, ascending/descending stairs, and exposed to outside weather conditions.
  • May be deployed to other locations as needed.
