Summary
The Data Coordinator will support the expansion of our organizational efforts to measure and evaluate our impact, identify relevant trends, and use data to guide our programming and strategy. This new position will work across our immigration legal service programs to ensure data integrity, quality, and the effective tracking and reporting of program data. Our legal services will be transitioning from legacy processes to a newly developed management system, and this role will be essential in assisting with the development, implementation, and maintenance of updated data practices. The ideal candidate will be data- and tech-savvy, with experience managing databases and large, complex data sets, and a passion for utilizing data and evaluation to support our mission. The Data Coordinator will report to the Grants & Performance Manager and will collaborate closely with all legal departments, including Access to Justice, Community Legal Programs, NYC Legal Programs, and the Unaccompanied Children's Program, as well as the agency’s data management leads.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Maintain knowledge of grant funding policies, scope of work, regulations, and procedures to be able to provide detailed guidance to staff regarding grant reporting requirements and data recording procedures.
• Assist the Grants & Performance Manager in developing and maintaining the new management system, ensuring the incorporation of enhanced features and functionalities.
• Collect and analyze data to prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports to funders and program leaders.
• Collaborate with the Grants and Contracts team, Managing Attorneys, administrators, and program leaders to ensure that performance targets meet expected fiscal year goals.
• Perform analysis of data by producing summary reports and dashboards.
• communicate with managers and staff about grant/contract-related needs.
• Assist in entering and tracking grant information into internal case management systems (Law Logix) and reviewing data cleaning and reporting by assistants Maintain a calendar of funding deadlines, including proposals and reports to effectively.
• In collaboration with the Grants & Performance Manager, support the management of funders’ program audits and site visits.
• Maintain documentation for all contracts and grants, concerning scopes of work, enrollment requirements, and other targets, as well as deliverables reports and supporting documentation; facilitate communications by and to program leadership, and ensure accountability, transparency, and access to necessary information.
• Implement streamlined communication protocols on performance management workflows across the legal service departments, including timelines for information submissions, data cleaning, and outcome targets.
• Responsible for detailed planning and status of projects as they arise.
• Handle highly confidential and valuable information and materials.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM, Monday - Friday.

• Remain at the workstation and in meetings to complete divisional programming's operational, administrative, and coordination needs.
• Travel, as needed, by using public transportation or vehicle, traverse City streets, occasionally ascend/descend stairs, and be exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Carry a laptop and event-related documents to offsite workstations.
Qualifications
• Graduation from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional training related to the position.
• Experience with data entry required.
• Proficiency in languages other than English is desirable but not required.
• Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, team building, communication, and public relations skills.
• Highly motivated and self-starter, able to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability and experience working with diverse individuals and communities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Strong Excel skills.
Salary Rate for this position is non-exempt hourly rate of $30.21 to $35.71 an hour or $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 yearly.
