Location: 80 Maiden Lane
Summary: The Manager is an integral member of the Finance team working under the guidance of Associate
Director, or designee, in meeting the fiscal needs (budgeting, forecasting and managerial reporting) of the Catholic Charities Community Services. This position works in partnership with Program staff and has extensive working relationships with the Program Directors.
This position oversees and is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of claims; coordination with funding agencies, including following up with receivables; development of program and administrative budgets, forecasts, and budget modification as required and allowed by contracts; analysis of monthly financial results and review of variance reports, and other ad hoc projects that may be assigned by supervisors.
The Manager must be a team player with good accounting, reporting, computer, communication, and analytic skills. The skills are required to support the Division and provide recommendations to improve the timely processing and accuracy of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and data.
The position supervises Senior and Staff Accountants and may also be assigned other ad hoc projects as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Contract Administration and Reporting -
o Prepare periodic analysis of contract results including the necessary narratives.
o Conduct monthly meetings with Program personnel to discuss the monthly operating results both at the Program and Divisional level
o Prepare periodic contract performance, compliance and financial performance reports for contracts and grants as required by funding agencies or donors;
o Interface with contract auditors in all aspects of their audits.
· Contract Management - This position will be responsible in training staff and overseeing the following processes and functions:
o Monitor contract/grant account Activity in Lawson; i.e. review of Activity reports against
Activity budgets;
o Review or preparation of periodic analysis and creation of resulting journal entries;
o Timely and accurate review or processing of claim submissions;
o Preparation of contract budgets and budget modifications;
o Review or reparation of various contract compliance financial reports; and
o Coordination with the Executive Director's office and Development team, for new contract (RFPs) and grant applications / renewal process.
· Development of Budgets & Forecasts-- Working with Program Directors, the Manager will be responsible for compiling and consolidating the Annual Division and supporting Program Budgets and updating and analyzing forecasts throughout the year.
· Quality Improvements - Assist Senior Financial Management in other ad hoc projects, as assigned, including:
o Professionally develop, train and evaluate staff
o Develop and make recommendations, evaluate recommendations of others and implement agreed-upon solutions to improve internal accounting / operating controls and efficiencies
o Provide recommendations for internal accounting I operating controls and efficiencies.
· Special Projects as required- Because of the breadth of skills required, these positions will be asked to assist in other Finance activities.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position that requires in office attendance at frequencies designated for the Department. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday. Additional evening and weekend hours are required to meet department and Agency deadlines.

· Remain in a stationary position at an office workstation and use a computer at least 70% of the time.
· Carry a laptop to offsite work locations, when assigned.
· Ability to work with demanding, multiple deadlines.
Pay: $112K - $127K annually
Qualifications
Education and/or experience required:
· Bachelors in Accounting and 5+ years relevant experience or;
· Bachelors in a related financial field and 10+ years of relevant experience.
· Non-profit government contracting experience, a plus
· Lawson Financial System, a plus
· CPA, a plus
Skills, Licenses, and/or competencies required:
· Good skills in supervision, paying attention to detail, analyses, developing and recommending solutions and the ability to prioritize and complete tasks on a timely basis with minimal
supervision in a fast-paced environment
